It is with great pleasure that I announce the
return of Sarah Kaufman as the Seneca Unit Head for CSL 2015! CSL has been in
Sarah’s life every summer since 2002 when she attended Camp for the first time
as an O-1 camper. Sarah has spent
several years on staff, as most recently as Seneca UH in 2014 where she led the
girls with passion and ruach.
Sarah has always been a camper first staff member and we are excited for
the girls of Seneca to have her as their leader, again.
Sarah is currently attending Cornell
University pursuing a major in Human Development and a minor in Education, and
is getting ready to accept her degree in the near future. Sarah has
considerable experience working with children outside of Camp, as she has spent
time with local elementary and high schools since starting at Cornell.
"I am thrilled to say that I'll be
venturing down Camp Road for the 14th time this coming June! Working as Seneca
Unit Head last summer was an extremely memorable experience and I think about
it on a daily basis as I look at pictures, read notes from campers, or chat
with the Seneca staff in our GroupMe! As my graduation from college
rapidly approaches and I begin to think about my future plans, I am reminded
about how instrumental CSL has been in my own growth and development and how it
will inevitably become increasingly harder to return year after year. I
am so thankful to be looking forward to another unforgettable summer working
with the ever-evolving Seneca staff and campers!"
We are incredibly lucky to have someone of
Sarah’s caliber returning to CSL and Seneca in 2015.
All the
Best,
Aaron Cantor, Director
