In The Zone: Junior Sports Zone

Hobby Culmination Day is a new idea that has all of camp see the progress campers go through. Our first hour we were partnered to make each other stat cards with positive comments. After our creative hour, we ran outside to play a game of Shirt Tag. Campers wore their shirts on their waistband and when their flag was taken, they were trying to steal another's. As it started to rain, it only made them more enthusiastic. We played a game between dodgeball and capture the flag. With four quadrants and four trashcan goals, dodgeballs were distributed to the sides. When thrown and hit, he or she was out, but if caught, no one was out. One could take the ball and try to score on the opposing team by shooting or running across. If hit while running across, you were out. Successful baskets got your teammates back in. It poured on the kids and their smiles never faded. At banquet we had pulled chicken sliders and we laughed at our funny stat cards. I think the campers had a great time in this hobby and definitely this session!
