Hi everyone!
We finally returned to "normal" camp days after color war 6. Last night was full of mixed emotions after the last projects for each team were finally completed and presented. Everyone was exhausted, but more determined than ever. After a long, hard battle the red teamed reigned supreme.
Ava Stern from 0-1 said "color was was fun because it was competetive and we got to run around screaming". Ava was a member of the red team and when I asked her about the color war experience it was as if she had done it a million times before. Instincts kicked in and she was smiling and screaming about red. You would never know that for many of these girls it was there first color war.
Back in onondaga the girls were able to get back into there usual routines and even got to jump into there hobbies. For some of our 2 weekers today was especially important because it was there last day!
2- weeker Sophie Altman said "I am sad about leaving because it is so fun. Next year I will be back for 3 or 4 weeks!"
Abigail Baum a 2 weeker who was able to stay for 3 said "I am excited to stay for 3 weeks because camp is so fun and instead of watching t.v I never new you could be outside!"
The 0-1 ladies are spending there last night as a whole bunk bonding over music, snacks, giggles and girl time. They are definetely going to miss the 4 girls they are loosing for the last week but by the sound of it when asked, they will all be back together next year.
We only have a week or so left together at camp. As many know the days here are long, but the weeks fly by. We are going to make the most of these last couple days together as a village!
