Hello everyone!
Today was a little risky with the changing weather, but just like everything else onondaga braved the elements and took it like champions. We faced on and off rain this morning but hobbies continued as usual. We had girls doing a wide variety of things they were able to choose from waterfront to A&C to the ropes course . All of the girls are working hard learning new things and trying to improve.
The big O was lucky enough to be chosen to help braid hallahs for the entire camp. They spent part of there clean up right after breakfast working on these masterpieces that soon became the center piece to every single shabbat table.
The afternoon was spent at athletics and the pool. At the pool the girls played a game that was similar to bunk junk on land. It required them to not only work as a team and combine there creativity but also to swim fast and be resourceful. Our athletics period was dedicated to our beloved onondaga league sport which is nukem. The girls gave it all they had today and we had a lot of amazing games.
The evening was dedicated to shabbat. The girls spent time showering, getting dressed up and helping eachother do there hair tonight. As we left for dinner the 34 beautiful onondagans were all dressed up ad ready to welcome in shabbat. They ate an amazing dinner and were great participants in services. They are ready for shabbat because shabbat means sleep in! My hope is that we can keep these energized girls in bed long enough to truly use there sleep in. Shabbat Shalom from CSL.
