Mohawk Moments

Hello everyone,

After a very busy Mohawk day on Thursday our Mohican campers were able to enjoy a regular day at camp.

In the morning we had hobbies! The morning was a little wet due to a slight rain, but that didn't deter our campers. All hobbies ran and everyone had a good time. Sound and stomp hobby, at the O rec, could be heard all the way from speedball in the O field. Swim the lake continued to train and tennis was practicing hard. Eventually hobbies had to end, and the campers headed to a delicious lunch of sloppy joes.

After a relaxing rest hour periods started. M1 had drama where they participated in games. "late for work" is a game where one camper is sent out side while the others decide why he is late for work. When the camper returns they have to guess why they are late by watching others pantomiming behind a boss who is questioning the late employee. Throughout the drama session we played this and many other drama games, smiles lit up on campers faces the entire time.

4th period all of Mohawk had services prep at which they practiced their speeches. This leads me into Shabbat. Arriving at dinner we were greeted by Mohawk campers and welcomed to shabbas dinner. Dinner was delicious with chicken and soup. After dinner the camp went down the the fire circle for a Shabbat service that lasted about an hour and a half with great speeches and beautiful music and prayer.
