Wow! What an amazing last three days we had on our bike trip. The weather continued to be on our side and the setting could not be more beautiful. Here is a trip break down:
Day one: we left camp and had a very pleasant ride to lunch. Following lunch we rode along Keuka lake and stopped off at a beach where the kids were able to have a snack and relax. From the beach, the campsite was a short distance away. Miles completed: 32
Day two: we woke once again to the sun shining and mounted our bikes for another joyous ride. We rode through Corning and had lunch and a tour at the Corning Museum of Glass- very interesting! Now being reenergized, we hopped back on our bikes and took off to our campsite. Everyone felt pretty tired and slept like babies. Miles completed: 37
Day three: the final day commenced and the kids were feeling well rested for the journey. We rode through Watkins Glen and conquered a few challenging hills. Lunch was a special treat of ordered pizza that we ate with the beautiful Seneca lake next to us. We did our final stretch home and rode triumphantly down Camp Road. Miles completed: 26
Total miles: 95!!!
We truly had an amazing trip and the kids did an incredible job. They felt great and the rest of the staff and I were very proud of them!
Till next time,
