Today was a very successful first day at the pool. We saw just about everyone in camp munis a few bunks in Seneca who come first thing tomorrow morning.
Both Onondaga and Cayuga seemed to very much enjoy their lesson periods today, many campers continued to work with their instructors into the free swim time. Best yet - many of our Onondaga staff asked for some stroke correction!
Seneca and Mohawk were introduced to their fitness and endurance swimming today. They seemed to take to it well and many of the kids really enjoyed it. They are anxious to return to the pool and be able to improve our times. The Mohawk campers impressed me today with their amazing timed fifty freestyles. Already the top swimmers will be hard to beat, I can't wait to see what happens.
On the whole everything went swimmingly (hehe) at the pool today. One thing is for sure - It will certainly e a challenge to learn all these names, but I know I can rise to the occasion.
