TONS HAPPENING AT CSL...

It feels like an extremely long time since my last post – part of that is because every day is like a week at camp, but there has also been a ton going on the last few days.  With so much going on, uploads onto the Blog have slowed a bit but we promise we will be catching up over the next day or so.
Tusc and Oneida have both been on out-of-camp excursions.  The former took a one hundred mile bike trip up and around Keuka Lake and back to Seneca Lake, through Hammondsport, Corning, and Watkins Glen.  They arrived back at camp in the late afternoon, feeling quite good about themselves.  Back in the day, the annual Tusc intersession trip was far more taxing, both physically and emotionally.  But over the years, this mentality has shifted somewhat such that we felt it was necessary to bring the challenging component back to the group, now in the form of this trip.  Nobody who went on it will say that it was a breeze, but they all got through it (in the 95 degree heat no less), and more importantly, they got through it together.
Mohawk and Seneca each took their village days yesterday and did various exciting out-of-camp activities before converging together at CSL at the end of the evening for a pool party with a movie playing right under the stars.
The four villages just embarked on a hunt to find the canteen burglar only to find him at the original canteen location!
Plenty more to come this week with Hobbies tomorrow afternoon and our annual Tikkun Olam (Repair the World) Day on Thursday.  Stay tuned for much more on that as well as more first-hand accounts from the last couple of days.
We look forward to seeing everyone on Sunday for Visitors Day.
