Stories With Seneca

Hello CSLers.

The past few days at camp have been flying by ridiculously fast!

Yesterday was Seneca Day, and was possibly one of the best days from this session so far! After a special breakfast in the village, we all left camp and headed to Syracuse for a day filled with fun activities. Our first stop was the Rosamond Gifford Zoo. My group enjoyed a very cool elephant show, where we watched a trained elephant sit and pose on a stool. After a quick lunch at the zoo cafe, we boarded the bus again and headed to Gannon's for some ice cream. Every girl got to choose from a bunch of different soft serve flavors and even got sprinkles! In the Gannon's parking lot, we took advantage of the fact that no other villages were around, and we practiced Fight Song. We got a few funny looks from people walking by, but I think people enjoyed our entertainment.

The next stop was Destiny USA, where we got to go to 5 Wits, a place where you go on a spy mission simulation or an adventure through the ancient Egyptian tombs. After Destiny USA, we went to Marshall Street where the girls had pizza for dinner and got a chance to shop. The girls went absolutely crazy and practically bought everything in all the stores. Finally, we got back on the bus and headed back towards Penn Yan for an outdoor electric violin concert. Once we got back to camp, we ended S-Day with a movie in the O-Rec.

Today, we spent the entire day working on Fight Song. It was our first time getting to practice on the stage, and I would say that it went very well! I can't wait until Saturday when we can show all of camp what it means to be a Senecan. Watch out CSL, Seneca is about to steal that trophy for a three-peat!
