Pine Tree Post

It's hard to believe that the July session is almost over. With Cayuga Day and Mass Program in the rear view mirror, Cayuga is focusing it's attention on the flagship program of the July session, Fight Song.

Although the staff and campers are busy with a full schedule of regular camp activities, we've been spending a lot of our free time in the village making final preparations for our performance on Saturday night. The goal of which is for Cayuga to hoist the fight song trophy as champions again, last in 2012. It's up to the judges whether or not Cayuga will win the coveted trophy but we're confident and we'll be ready.

In other news, C-1, C-2, and C-3 campers spent their bunk night last night playing touch football. The campers were split into two teams, the Cayuga Panthers coached by myself and the East Cayuga Lions coached by Tristan LeVant. The Panthers were sadly defeated 28-7 despite a Hail Mary touchdown catch in the final seconds by C-1 counselor, Omeed Alidadi but was still a great time for all campers and staff who participated. Clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose.
