Once
again, the O Rec stage has been a busy place this week. On Tuesday, Tusc drama
periods included some fantastic original plays written and performed by the
Tuscarorans themselves. These plays included Western dramas, musical theatre,
Cinderella parodies, and other hilarious mini-productions.
During
Mass Program, the five teams each performed one sick dance and one scene from a
famous movie.By request, Seneca and Onondaga
drama periods were dedicated in part to Fightsong coaching as the big night
approached. Since this week was particularly hot, the Fightsong prep periods ended
with Drama in the Pool.
Several other bunks have been
acting out camp songs such as Leaving on a Jet Plane and Yoshimi. This has
involved dances, dramatic scenes, and great vocal performances.
Today, 05 did an activity called
Random Acts of Drama inspired by M3. They wrote a skit and choreographed a song
and dance (the Waffle Song), then performed them all around camp. This was
definitely a highlight of the week.
