Cayuga Chronicles: Fight Song

Sunday night was Fight Song. Sunday night was the climax of the July session. Cayuga worked extremely hard throughout the first few weeks of Camp and put forth our very best effort during our performance. Regardless of whom would take home the trophy, the boys of Cayuga knew that the real winners were the ones who would walk out of the O-Rec knowing they did their absolute best. John Wooden defined true success as, “knowing that you did your best to become the best you are capable of becoming.” Cayuga was successful. We did everything in our control to make our performance spectacular. We ran the show and put a smile on every judge’s face and astounded the entire Camp. We truly gave a perfect performance and could not be happier. The entire Cayuga staff is so proud of the campers for their performance. We will be holding our heads up high and congratulating Seneca with sincerity. Take a look at our lyrics to the three songs: Doo Wah Diddy, Man! I Feel Like a Woman, and Gold Digger. Ask your boys to sing for you when they get home, you will be impressed and in tears of joy.

Walk In (Yuga Yuga)
Here we go just a bunch of rowdy boys
Singin’ Yuga Yuga Cayuga Cayuga
Beating our chests and making lots of noise
Singin’ Yuga Yuga Cayuga Cayuga
It’s our night (our night). It’s Fight Song (Fight Song)
It’s our night. It’s Fight Song. Bet you’ll wanna sing along
Yuga Yuga Cayuga Cayuga
Singin’ Yuga Yuga Cayuga Cayuga

Fight Song (Man, I Feel so Cayugan)
Bum bum ba na na bum bum
Let's go boys

Waking up at Camp, feeling like a champ
We don't really care what you say
Cayugan spirit, yeah we wanna hear it
We are here to win today

Bum bum ba na na bum bum Uge
Fingers up our nose, hoppers in our toes
Yeah that's what we're, all about
Try-na make a scene, cheering for canteen
Yeah we're gonna, scream and shout

(Chorus 1)
The best thing about being Cayugan
Is that together we can have a lot of fun, yeah
We run the show. We're totally crazy, a little bit spacey
Pine trees, yes please
Oh woah oh oh don't say nothing bad about Cayuga
Oh no no no really go wi-ld, nothing but smi-les
Striking a pose, ev-ryone knows
We're not Big O, no matter how small yeah
We always stand up tall
Man, I feel so Cayugan
Bum bum ba na na bum bum Uge

We might mess around, where's the lost and found
Get a little, outta line
Grab our hockey sticks, to fight off the ticks
We just wanna have a good time

(Chorus 2)
The best thing about being Cayugan
Is that we're young and we have only just begun, yeah
Oh woah oh oh although we're messy, we'll take down Jessie
Kossoff, back off
Oh-woah oh oh, we like to yell while playing C-H-L
Oh-woah oh oh, Kenandueha, love to play gaga
Forget you Sham, Max is our man
We’re not Big O, no matter how small yeah
We always stand up tall
Man, I feel so Cayugan

Bum bum ba na na bum bum Uge
We're one of a kind, the village of pine
You will never, see us frown
So let's make a toast, to the trophy's host
Make the whole camp, kiss the ground
(Chorus 1)
The best thing about being Cayugan
Is that together we can have a lot of fun, yeah
We run the show. We're totally crazy, a little bit spacey.
Pine trees, yes please
Oh woah oh oh don't say nothing bad about Cayuga
Oh no no no really go wi-ld, nothing but smi-les
Striking a pose, everyone knows
We're not Big O, no matter how small yeah
We always stand up t-all
Man, I feel so Cayugan

Bum bum ba na na bum bum Uge

Walk Out (We’re Cayuga)
Can’t take our trophy, ‘cause we’ll repeat
Knock the whole camp, off their feet
Oh we’re Cayuga, village of pine
Now hear our beat

Campers:
Oh we’re the village
Of Cayuga
Although we’re younger
We will go far
Cayuga (4x)

Staff:
Now you keep thinking that we’re only cubs
But you ain’t messin’ with no joke da joke
Now you keep thinking that we’re only cubs
But you ain’t messin’ with no joke da joke
C-A-Y and U-G-A (4x)

Sincerely,
Max Krieger
