Wow! What an amazing way to start the August session. We were Seneca Skittles as the girls rolled off the bus, each bunk dressed as a different flavor.
As we moved around camp taking swim tests, getting our bunk photos taken, and all the other things we learn about on the first day, Seneca spent time with their bunks coming up with count-offs and learning fun facts about each other.
Tonight after dinner we had our family program; where an oldest Senecan is paired with a middle and youngest Senecan and they become sisters. This helps to ensure that each camper makes 2 new friends instantly on the first day--we do fun activities throughout the session in our families, and the girls grow closer across the age groups.
After opening ceremonies we came back to the village and enjoyed Roz playing guitar and signing Miley Cyrus songs all together. We also spoke about sisterhood and how all it takes is a smile to make someone's day brighter, and that we all strive to make each day a great one.
Thanks so much for sharing your kids with us--they make our days exciting and we can't wait to see what this session has in store for everyone.
