Hello parents and friends of csl!
Yesterday was another spectacular day to be a part of the pine tree village of Cayuga. After a wonderful waffle breakfast, the campers quickly tidied up the cabin and then headed off to hobbies. Some of their hobbies include cross country, ropes course, sailing, and wakeboarding just to name a few. From what i heard, all of the hobbies were awesome including my hobby, sound and stomp. During s&s this week, we brought in another staff member, Steph Denato, who step dances at the university of vermont (quite impressive!). The campers all listened intently to her and practiced with huge smiles on their faces as they watched their brand new step dance come together on stage.
It wont be long until s&s performs for campstock and shocks all of CSL. Cant wait! After hobbies and lunch, the campers of Cayuga had a choice of either going to the waterfront or having a double ceramics period. I, personally, headed down to the waterfront where my fantastic bunk of C-2 had waterskiing first. Both of the campers in my boat, Josh Cohn and Colby Lederman, both waterskied and successfully got up behind the boat! Then, with a little extra time, i got to ski too! This was my first time skiing since youngest Cayuga in 2001 so i was quite nervous. Luckily though, i got up behind the boat and somehow figured out how to get in and out of the wake! It was good to feel like a camper again, but i shortly after returned to being a staff member again as Shabbat services rolled around. Mohawk and Seneca led a beautiful service, and all of the Cayugans definitely enjoyed it.
Today is the birthday of C-2's very own Zachary Kersh and we will be celebrating all day! Just another few days in the 'Uge, back and better than ever.
For now,
Alec Jacobson
