Camp is a glass world. Glittering and shining, it is separated by the harsh realities of the tangible world by clear panes reinforced with invisible steel. Inside of this world, swirls the delicate relationships and evolving personalities that contribute to shimmering wholeness. To watch my bunk, O-1 grow and thrive in this magical atmosphere, is unlike anything I have ever experienced. Small periods of time spent with these 10 girls at the pool or arts and crafts leave me with a sense of satisfaction and pride, waves of emotion that I am sure their parents feel as well when they watch their amazing girls experience life and mundane activities for the first time. In this glass dome, they, as a new experience find out who they really ate, tearing back the layers of dirt and opinion plastered onto them by the outside society, and exposed their own thoughts. Everyone of them is unique, giving something new and exciting to whirl around in this fragile zone of perfection.
