The Senecan Scribe

As I am getting back from the weekly staff meeting it finally hits me. Tomorrow I embark on a three day journey along with my oldest Senecans. The plan is to wake up earlier then the rest of camp, to eat breakfast and to load onto the bus, which will take us to our adirondack destination.

It isn't just me who has begun to realize that what lies ahead is going to be a life changing and memorable experience. My fellow staff and campers are talking constantly about their excitement as well as their hesitation and nervousness. The raw emotions that we are all feeling are undoubtably foreshadowing the exciting and meaningful trip that lies ahead.

Between camping, where we will learn how to cook our own meals over a fire, hiking one of the highest peaks in the region, and doing some real rock climbing, I am positive these girls will return to camp Tuesday afternoon with amazing memories that will last a very long time.

Because of our far location the Seneca Scribe will include posts about the trip only after we return to camp Tuesday. Be sure to check in to learn about our experiences.
