Junior Sports Zone Journal

Besides socks and sneakers, water bottles were important at hobbies today. It was hotter than ever this July as our group went from the hockey court to the S-field. First we started with a game of Gaga on the hockey courts. This traditional game is played with a kick ball and players swat to hit each other's feet. Next we moved to the game of hand hockey, essentially Gaga with goals. After hundreds of water breaks, we moved to the s-field for human pin ball. Campers grabbed sticks and other athletic materials to push the ball into the hoolah hoop goals. Finally, the campers finished with a game of Nukem versus staff. The theme of the week is respect. We had downtime to focus on this theme and work cohesively as a team. The important thing isn't really winning the game, but the values behind winning.
