Greetings from Tuscarora! I apologize for not writing sooner, but since the Senior Campers have returned from their trip, things have been busy! As you have previously read, the trip was a wonderful opportunity for the campers to experience new activities and also have a break from the physical components of their summer. The kids were helpful, appreciative, and most importantly, a pleasure to take everywhere.
Upon their return for the August session, the Senior Campers brought on much anticipated energy to CSL. This energy has been recognized by campers and staff as vital for programs at camp this session, but for motivational purposes in particular. The following activities that the Senior Campers participated in will be expanded on in subsequent posts: Big Brother/Little Sister, Israel night, Rick Recht, the Tusc bike trip to Penn Yan and Casino night.
I would like to conclude by stating that while there are only two weeks left, I can say without a doubt that these Senior Campers have proven themselves many times over. That being said, I am excited to see how up coming programs, such as Color War, Tusc Triathlon Culmination, and Tusc Shabbat, affect their tenacity and resolve.
