For me, camp is very important. It is a way to get away from the stress of school and the boredom of doing nothing over the summer. Here, you can be yourself without anyone judging you and whispering something to a person next to them. Here, the only way to fit in is to be different, and that takes off a huge weight from your shoulders. If only the rest of the world was like that...
Camp Seneca Lake breaks the monotony of school. There are surprises around each and every corner, at every twist and turn of camp's gravel roads and forest paths. The schedule is aways different, ever shifting and surprising. No matter how much you beg the counselors and staff, they won't tell you what's going on tomorrow. At Seneca Lake you can go with the flow, without bumping into any rocks in the rapids.
Some may say this camp is only for people athletically talented, or for people who are one with the water or the land, but all of that is highly inaccurate information. Camp teaches you everything you need to enjoy its activities, and even helps you uncover new talents; be it sailing, water skiing, rock claiming, baseball, or art. This camp has fun things for nerds, jocks, artists, musicians, and people anywhere in between. Here, all those seemingly very different categories not only have fun, but have fun together. That just might be the most important part of Camp Seneca Lake.
