Stories With Seneca

Good morning CSL!

This morning I find myself writing this to you sore. Not from running, not from moving beds or trunks, just from 2 words: Gaga Tournament.

Last night the staff divided into teams and battled to the death in a gender blender "gagalympics" gaga tournament, where 12 teams of male staff and female staff competed in various games of gaga with different variations of opponents. While the intensity remained high throughout, the event ultimately culminated in a dance party on the basketball court and CSL's first ever "Chinese Buffet," and who can be mad about that? So, I guess what I'm trying to say is the soreness today was worth it.

Despite the rain we're having today, the staff is continuing to get after it in the best way we know how - hobbies. This morning we are all split into our respective hobby groups, learning the skills, techniques and curriculum for each, in order to give you all the best possible experience. This year especially, there are so many new and exciting hobbies happening all over camp, going along with the theme of the summer: the fusion of the old and the new.

With so many new staff and so many new programs around camp, everyday is a new adventure, yet the feeling stays the same. The feeling of being "home," the feeling of being safe; the feeling of just being.

The next four days cannot go by fast enough, and I'm so excited to see you SO SOON!!
