Stories With Seneca

It should be well known by now that Camp Seneca Lake dance parties are like no other. A good song ringing through the dining hall always gets each person up on their feet dancing as if they are alone in their bedroom! Of course, Camp Seneca Lake is not a dance camp. Thus, we make our own moves, waving our arms and legs in ways that, if described, would not sound plausible. It's a funny picture, right? Now imagine what it would look like if we took our crazy dance moves to a public place...

When I found out that our special, surprise, out-of-camp staff event was a Doobie Brothers and Peter Frampton concert I was pleased, no doubt, but I was not exactly excited. I had never heard of the Doobie Brothers and I only know Peter Frampton because he was referenced on "That 70's Show." I forgot a simple fact. When we are all together, we have the potential to make every moment great.

We relished the opportunity of showing off our moves and created a crowd of people having an amazing time, being ourselves and not having a care in the world!

I absolutely cannot wait for the campers to come so they can also experience this glorious feeling and the electric atmosphere that the staff create!
