I'm Scott Ansell and this summer I'll be a Mohawk counselor. This will be my 9th summer at camp and first summer as a staff member. After not being at camp last summer, coming back has been incredible. The returning and new staff members alike have all welcomed me with open arms, and I know that it will be an amazing summer. Over the past four days, we have been preparing camp for the arrival. This morning was our preparation for hobbies. Each camper will be in a hobby to learn or improve a skill or interest that they want/have. Hobbies range from water-skiing to speed-ball to fort building. It is a great opportunity for the campers to learn something they are interested in. There are multiple hobby sessions during each session and at the end of the session there will be a culmination of the hobby for the campers to show off their new skills.
Only three days in and it feels like I never even left....it is safe to say that I am ready.
