Dear CSL Community:
It is with great pleasure that I announce the appointment of Jonah Pessin as a Tusc Counselor for the 2014 summer. Having grown up at camp, being a Senior Camper himself in 2008, Jonah is extremely excited to be a part of the Tusc program again. Jonah took some time away from camp after his Senior Camper summer, returning in 2012 to be a Mohawk Counselor and serving in the same role again in 2013. He has worked closely with many of the Tusc 2014 male campers and looks forward to further developing those bonds. Jonah has been a major presence at camp the last couple of summers, contributing in a variety of capacities, including many in the Programming realm. He has some unique perspectives on the creative side of activities so will be an invaluable part of Tusc 2014.
Hailing from Henrietta, New York, Jonah graduated from Rush-Henrietta High School in 2011. He matriculated to University of Buffalo, majoring in Business Administration with focuses in Marketing and Economics. Jonah currently interns with the marketing and finance departments at Giancarlo’s Restaurant in Buffalo.
Jonah has a certain way about him, going at his own pace, marching to his own drummer, that has endeared him to pretty much everyone who has ever interacted with him. He had this to say after his appointment became official:
“WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! Are you guys as excited as I am? Tusc is an unreal experience and I am looking forward to the opportunity to make it even better in 2014. I can assure you Tusc 2014 is going to be the next level – 61 campers rocking the Dining hall every day…I can already hear it in my head. I’m ready to bring pure enthusiasm for every program from triathlon to the Final Banquet and I hope you will do the same. But for now…start practicing…boom boom clap boom boom clap.”
Jonah is definitely already practicing.
