Josh Sham returns as Staff Director in 2014

Dear CSL Community:

It is with incredible excitement that I announce the return of the Staff Director position at CSL with the hiring of Josh Sham! Josh has spent many years on staff in several different roles, and has always shown a desire to work with Camp’s future leaders.  He served as part of our LIT team in 2011 before running our Senior Camper program in both 2012 and 2013.  Josh brings a wealth of ideas and enthusiasm to his new role at Camp and I can’t wait to see him in action.

Josh is a native of Rochester who graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Buffalo and a Masters of Science Education from Syracuse University.  Josh has held a few teaching jobs and is has been teaching at the Peddie School, a boarding school in NJ, for the past two years.  In addition, Josh coaches soccer and tennis and is the dorm parent for 32 freshman boys.

"The most formative years of my life have been as a staff member at Camp Seneca Lake.  These experiences have enabled me to discover my passion for working with adolescents and for teaching.  Over the last few years working at a boarding school I have learned a variety of practices that I hope to bring to the staff.  Ultimately, it is the staff seeks to establish the character of camp, and I look forward to supporting CSL’s amazing staff this summer."

CSL and our staff are privileged to have Josh as our Staff Director in 2014.
All the Best,
Aaron Cantor, Director
