Today was epic! We woke up so excited knowing that our campout was approaching. After breakfast, all of the oldest Senecans boarded the big yellow school bus we drove to Robert H. Treman State Park. When we got there, we started to hike up the trail. On the side of the trail, there were many beautiful gorges. Near the peak of the trail, we were instructed to walk holding shoulders and eyes closed. We had no clue what to expect when we opened our eyes, and many of us were reluctant to close our eyes. However, we put our trust in our fellow bunkmates to take us to the final destination.
We opened our eyes to see a magnificent view of a waterfall. After our trust walk, we were extremely eager to dig into the pita bread pb&j at our campsite. After an extended rest hour, we went to the playground to enjoy some fun and games.
We then pranced back to the campsite to prepare our delicious meal of pasta, broccoli, mushrooms and chicken with delicious seasonings and sauces. We are now awaiting s'mores and being able to retreat back to our tents to sleep tonight. We can't wait for what tomorrow will bring!!
