Cayuga Chronicles

For shabbat everyone had a sleep in and enjoyed breakfast in the village. Services were held in the new tikkun olam space. It was very satisfying to be in an area created by many of the campers. There was an extended rest hour followed by shabbat choice. Campers choose between ropes, a and c, athletics, pool, and going on a second shabbat walk. No matter what they chose all campers had a good time.  For the evening program everyone dressed as gladiators! The whole camp sat in teams for dinner to bond.  Following the meal every team created weapons and decorations for one of their staff gladiators. These staff gladiators then did battle with each other. Every team received a prize such as scary stories or s'mores. The night ended with all of camp gathering around the fire circle for havdalah services. Listening to all of camp sing and pray together is always an enthralling experience.
