Tea Time with Tusc

Hi from Tusc!  These past weeks have been jam packed, but amazing! Three days ago T13 left for our 100 mile bike trip! We road the first day through gorgeous Amish homes and farms stopping for lunch on the side of the road.  After 32 miles we finally arrived at our campsite!

Day 2 started out with sore butts and a rainy morning.  After 20 miles we arrived at the Corning museum of glass.  We watched glass blowing demonstrations and toured the gift shop. Then we got back unto our bikes and road another 18 miles to our next campsite.  At the campsite, we jumped on this blow up jumping pillow and played some mini golf.  Next we had dinner, made from scratch of course.  Then we had a campfire and roasted s'mores!

Day 3 was very difficult, but we all survived! We rode up a 4.5 mile hill through Watkins Glen and stopped for lunch at a vineyard.  About 20 miles later we arrived at camp road!  The feeling of accomplishment was indescribable.  We road down camp road feeling confident, and 10 times prouder and closer as a family than when we had started.

We cheered when were finished.  As a family we got through 102 miles. We will continue to grow as a family.  This is the magic of the bike trips, but also the magic of the village of Tuscarora.
