Cayuga Chronicles
Over the past day, cayuga went on its village campout! We went to the cayuga nature center, practicing fightsong on the bus ride there. At the nature center the campers experienced exhibits on the local wildlife, saw live creatures including bearded dragons and a skink, walked through their butterfly room, and climbed on a six story tree ouse. All of the campers had the time of their lives. Following lunch we went to our campsite where they all learned how to setup tents. They played numerous games including screaming arrows. As a village they practiced fightsong together, and became closer through their success. They also learned about the leave no trace theology and how to lessen their impact on the environment. Overall the trip was a great time in which the kids grew stronger together and gained important skills.
