Yesterday was the Cayuga campout. A time each year when the village goes as a group out into the wilderness. Our first stop was the Cayuga Nature Center. A place in the Ithaca area where the campers and staff learned about different types of animals and the nature in the region through a series of exhibits. Next, we ventured to our campsite. With help from the Tiyulim staff, we set up our tents, made our food, and sat by the campfire we built. In the morning we returned to camp with a feeling of accomplishment and a few too many bug bites. Overall, an exciting 24 hours for the village of Cayuga.
