The day finally arrived and I can't express how happy we are to have the campers here. We started off the day early with a nice breakfast and conversations about what we planned to do when the campers arrived.
Eventually campers started showing up. With each camper that arrived you could feel the energy level increasing. But the time lunch rolled around the dinning hall was wild with music a blaze and people dancing.
The afternoon was spent going around to different areas of camp to be orientated by the staff in those specialty areas. After dinner we had our MNL try outs which included three stations: hitting, fielding, and running. The kids had a blast and it is obvious that the coaches are taking it seriously. It should be a great season.
The evening concluded with skits from the staff and a bonfire. All in all it was successful night and we can't wait for the rest of the session.
