Erica Roos, Tusc 2013

Dear CSL,

As my Tuscaroran summer inches closer and closer, it is becoming harder and harder to focus in school. Most of my fellow bunk mates will be ending school very soon, but being from a suburb just outside of Boston, that is not the case. With a homestretch of a little under three weeks to go, I constantly find myself dozing off in class imagining how amazing this upcoming summer is going to be. Every year when camp approaches I am filled with feelings of excitement but never before have they been this strong.
This is the summer I have been anticipating since my first year as a youngest onondagan in 2006.  At times like these I wish my home friends could understand what I am going through, even though I usually love not living in the same town as most of my camp friends do. This makes the moments like running off the bus on the first day even more special. Seeing your favorite people for the first time in a year is a feeling incomparable to any other much like most other experiences at camp. To say camp is on my mind is an understatement.

 See you soon CSL.
