This summer will be all about the moments. In my many summers here at Camp, as both a camper and a staff, i have realized that no time should be wasted while here on Seneca Lake. Whether it is winning a mass program or playing cards on your bed with your bunkmates, every moment of Camp should me unique and memorable. One of my favorite moments of last summer was obviously winning the second annual Fight Song with the rest of Cayuga. After weeks of practice, our hard work prove worthy and we found ourselves on stage with winning trophy. although the trophy was quickly broken, it was still ours and we deserved it. Only one day into general staff orientation and Cayuga staff is already deep in discussion about Fight Song. Last summer our village raised the standards for one of the demanding competitions that we see here at Camp. This year we plan to do the exact same. Even if this year does not bring another win for our village we plan on leaving knowing that we tried our bests and put our whole hearts in it. This is how we will treat every program and activity at camp this summer. Making a moment out of everything we do.
Hi I'm Jarry Masters and this year I will be the CSL Blog liaison for Cayuga. The plan is to have at least one counselor blog post and one camper post a day. In order to have every camper blog at least once we will most likely have multiple camper posts everyday. This will be my fourth summer working in the village of Cayuga. I also spent eight years as a camper here, four of which being in Cayuga. It easy for me to say that we our the best village in camp. Only hours into orientation and i already know this is going to be best summer CSL has seen so far.
