Hello all,
After another exciting day in Cayuga, we are off to the races yet again! The day began with Shabbat services in the fire circle, followed by discussion groups for each age group (youngest, middle, oldest).
In the afternoon, the over/under game took place as well! This is a game in which the staff over 21 face the staff under 21 in softball. The over 21 team won, in a close and hard fought game. All campers were there to watch in which was essentially an elongated general, or Shabbat choice period.
Looking back on our Cayuga village campout on Thursday, it took us to the Ithaca area. We stopped first at the Cayuga nature center, where we broke into groups and walked around. Here we saw various animals, many different trails and a 6 story treehouse in the woods! Next we went to our camp site and started to unpack and prepare for the fun night ahead. The tiyulim staff showed us how to successfully put up tents and make our food, as well as teaching us about the nature around us. Although it did rain, the campout was a success and everyone had a great time!
Yesterday also marked 24 hours until fight song! Cayuga has mastered its fight song and is very excited to perform it in the O-rec for the whole camp to see! We cannot wait to see the trophy held by the rightful and deserving village that is Cayuga!
Best,
