Today started out as being a normal day in Onondaga. Although it rained for most of the morning, hobbies went on as planned. In the afternoon, most of Onondaga went to ropes and my bunk (O-2) went on the climbing wall! The evening program was a village night and Onondaga hosted a Mr. CSL pageant. Mr. CSL is when the girls get a chance to dress up and make over some of the male staff. My bunk had an awesome time giving Garrett Root, a waterfront specialist, a makeover.
After the evening program, the entire camp thought we were going to John Golden's retirement party at the fire circle but little did they know that they were about to witness the epic break of Color War V. CSL was enclosed by Tuscarorans holding red and blue headlights. While the entire camp sat in silence with snowflake bubbles flying over them, the first ever CSL Color War ice sculpture stood before us. Not only was it being made before our eyes, there was also a ring of fire surrounding it. As the creation of the sculpture was coming to a close, all 12 Color War captains started cheering the famous "1, 2, 3, 4, we want a color war!" chant.
This is just the beginning of life changing CSL event.
