Tucked in shirts, suspenders over my shoulders and duct taped glasses were the staples of my dinner attire. The counselors were told that we were involved in nothing more than a typical counselor hunt...little did we know that what we were told was merely a façade. We were bribed by our director, John Golden, promising us chicken wings if our hiding spots were hard enough and we eagerly ran to our assigned locations. After staying silent for 45 minutes in the outrageously stuffy attic of Arts and Crafts, 2 fellow counselors and I thought we were emerging victorious as no campers had found us. We met up with the rest of the staff, all of whom were equally excited for their free wings because they too had not been found. As we ran in front of the campers to brag about our excellent hiding skills, we were met with water balloons and all of our flip flops thrown on top of the dining hall roof! The prank was on us! The night ended in a dance party and the counselors are already planning our revenge :)
