For this assignment campers practiced their batiking skills on the challah covers for Shabbat!
Cayugan Andrew Robinson was is making an interesting and cool design on his cover. He says that “Sometimes you are doing random designs and it makes it look abstract.” Some of the other covers are so great that they look almost professional.
A&C director, Jilly Leaderman said, “We have some master batikers and some people who are brand new!”, but they all look fantastic. The new challah covers are definitely going to add some color to Shabbat.
