Guiding Eyes for the Blind

Almost 50 Cayugans and Onondagans (and staff!) had the amazing opportunity to meet four puppy breeders from Guiding Eyes for the Blind. This organization graciously donated their time to come out to camp and teach our campers about the process of raising a guide dog. They brought with them four dogs, two of them just a couple of months old, and following the presentation the campers had the opportunity to interact with the puppies! This meaningful service/ awareness project was mutually beneficial. Campers and staff had the opportunity to relax with our cuddly visitors, while the dogs had the opportunity to interact with a large group of children, and practice their socialization and acclamation. A huge thank you to Cindy Chait and Guiding Eyes for the Blind. We hope to work with you again!
