Tales From Tusc

Good Morning!

Camp has officially begun and to say the least, day one was an incredible success. The engery of Tusc was immediatley felt from the first moment the campers stepped off the bus, dressed head to toe in red attire. It was a sight to see as old friends greeted each other and new connections were made.

The first lunch was not only a delicious spread (camper, and personal favorite, chicken nuggets), but it was also a phenomenal dance party. Tusc campers were on their feet grooving to the music while sipping on their bug juice and munching on their meals.

After the usual first day procedure of the rules and the swim test, Tuscarora engaged in an evening program that taught them how to rely on each other and work together, a lesson that will be constant throughout the entire summer.

This is my 14th summer at camp so I have seen many Tusc groups pass through, but I have never seen a group with such energy, spirit, and an immediate sense of community. There is no doubt in my mind that we will become a strong family and I am truly honored to be apart of that.

If the first day of camp is an indicator of how the rest of the summer will go, to say this will be an incredible summer would be an understatement.
