A Word From the Unit Head...
Hi! My name is Sam Wechsler and I am the Tusc Unit Head! I am pleased to welcome you to the "Tales From Tusc" blog.
The Staff and I are very excited to finally have the campers arrive and we feel ready for the best summer ever!
Before I explain some of the programs the village will be experiencing I would like to take a moment to tell you about myself. I recently completed my masters program in Political Science and I plan on returning to New York City in the fall. This will be my 12th summer at CSL. I was a member of Tusc for three summers (this will be my second as Unit Head). I am honored to be a part of this village in general and this group in particular.
Tuscarora has significantly changed over the last few years. We have incorporated a triathlon program for which the campers will be training for all summer. A Tusc Judaic program has been added to engage the campers with their questions on Jewish identity. Lastly, our newest addition, an out of camp bike trip, will complement the triathlon program, but it will also help the campers to familiarize themselves with each other.
