Pine Tree Post

Let's go get!

This phrase was chanted by myself and many other campers/fellow staff members who were a part the Gogh-Geddur family during the Mass Program!

Being an August camper my whole life, until my senior camper summer in Tusc, this was only my third Mass Program. Last year as a first time counselor, I had the privilege of assisting the programming side of this event, so this was my first one as a counselor. I was very excited.

Despite my family coming up short at claiming the treasure, the program was EXTREMELY successful. The campers, along with myself, loved the events that we all did. My personal favorite was Trench Warfare - a five team dodgeball event through boards. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to compete in a lot of small events as I was creating a silent film throughout the duration of the day and a half. The production we created is quite hysterical if I may say so myself. All in all, this was a great program!

After a nice sleep in and fight song prep, we got back into the groove of camp. This didn't last long for me. Today I am currently driving to college for my orientation. This was very difficult for me as it's hard to leave camp for one day, but a five day stretch is practically impossible. I'm going to miss my boys.

Saying goodbye to the two weekend campers just broke my heart! Hopefully I'll see them next year! I can't wait to return and get back into the grind that is CSL!

With Love,
