When oldest returned from their campout in time for Shabbat, it felt as if a balance was restored to the village. With a smooth service and a fun Matzoh Ball, Friday night was truly one to remember. Saturday however brought the second game of MNL, which is where the rest of this blog will be focused!
MNL, or Mohawk National League, is a slow pitch softball league that each and every camper participates in. If you are an all star, or can't even swing the bat, there is a place for you in MNL, to improve, to succeed, and always to have fun. My team, the Pool Pirates, just wrapped up a 12-2 win over the Ropes Course Red Sox, and I can safely say it was one of my favorite parts of the summer so far. Sure, my team is a well oiled machine that is bound for the championship and that made it very fun, but the losing Red Sox also had the time of their lives even in defeat. Everyone was cheering for each other and in general holding up the highest levels of sportsmanship.
Little moments like today's game can make a summer.
