It is with great pleasure that I announce the appointment of Kevin Snyder as a Tusc Counselor for the 2014 summer. Kevin first arrived at CSL in 2012 as the Assistant Athletics Head and Tennis Specialist. He quickly got the itch to work more closely with campers and moved to Cayuga that August to be a counselor. Originally slated to be back in Cayuga for 2013, Kevin ended up becoming a Tusc Counselor. Certainly that experience fueled his excitement to return to Tusc in 2014. He may not have the same amount of years at CSL as most other staff, but his passion burns just as bright and does so particularly for the Tusc experience.
Kevin hails from Medina, New York graduating from Medina High School in 2010. He then enrolled at Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania. A double major in Communication Arts and Political Science, Kevin also plays a prominent role in the varsity tennis team. He serves on the Student Athlete Advisory Committee and is Vice President of the conference-wide SAAC. Kevin also works in a program for incoming freshman to help with their acclimation and adjustment to living away from home. He is slated to graduate this coming Spring and plans to pursue opportunities teaching in a boarding school.
“When I arrived at CSL in 2012 I never could have imagined the life-altering experiences that I have had there. I knew very shortly after arriving that I had come to a community like none other, finding something I knew would be with me forever. Last summer I had the honor and privilege of working in Tusc and I am extremely excited to have a chance to return there for 2014. There is something really special about this program that cannot be duplicated at any other place in the world. I am ecstatic to be able to return and have another summer at CSL.”
We are, in turn, ecstatic to have Kevin back at camp and back in Tusc.
Sincerely,
Ari Baum, Assistant Director & Tusc Program Coordinator
