Hello friends and family!
It's only day three, but in camp time it already feels like we've been here for weeks.
The Tusc survivor program concluded and it really could not have been more of a success. The program was created to teach the campers about teamwork and leadership. Not only were these things achieved, but the campers also bonded and got to know each other on an entirely new level- already establishing strong relationships that will carry on through out the summer.
This morning, we awoke with the sunrise and packed up our campsite so we could enter breakfast with spirit and of course, style. There was no doubt we brought energy to the meal as we enjoyed delicious pancakes. Following breakfast, we had the morning off to allow the campers to rest and freshen up.
For the afternoon, all of camp was scheduled to have hobbies. Popular hobby groups among the Tuscarorans are pit cooking, swim the lake, Insanity fitness, and speedball.
Currently, I am writing this post from a bus that is en route to the American Legion in Geneva for some pre 4th of July fireworks and good times. Just look at those happy faces in the photo!
It's been an action packed 72 hours and it will only continue!
All my best,
Lorenn Kassel
