Mohawk Moments

Hello all,

My name is Max Wolff and I am an M-2 bunk counselor. Today all of youngest Mohawk participated in high ropes activities. The campers attempted the pamper pole an cat walk. What are these you ask?

The pamper pole is a telephone pole that the kids have to climb up by stepping in giant staples. When the reach the top that have to try and jump and slap a rubber chicken hang in the air infront of them. Many tried to hit this chicken, but few succeeded.

The cat walk is similar to the pamper pole execpt for the fact that it is a telephone pole rises horizontally in the air between two trees. The campers climb the trees on either side with a noodle in hand and then face off while trying to stay in the pole.

After dinner tonight, Mohawk had their second round of the Mohawk games. In this round to mimic the actual hunger games the campers entered the cornucopia. There were fourteen garbage cans surrounding the field in front of the dinning hall, each being a base for each team. In the center of the field was one of the war canoe or "the cornucopia" as we like to call it. The cornucopia was filled with everything from noodles to light sabers to nerf weapons.

After a countdown from ten, the kids could rush the field and do some Live Action Role Play or LARPing. The kids loved it and the staff enjoyed it just as much.
