The staff have been at CSL for almost a week and we can't wait for your children to arrive! Staff Orientation is going well and we are all looking forward to a happy, fun and safe summer.
The days leading up to camp are very exciting for some campers (and parents!) and anxiety ridden for others. Help prepare your anxious camper by assuring them that it is normal to miss home (parents, siblings, pets, etc.) but still have fun at camp. A little homesickness is expected in the first few days of camp and we are all trained on the best ways to help your camper get through it and enjoy their time at camp.
Mail is slow getting from camp to you so don't expect to get a letter for a few days. If your child is demonstrating signs of persistent homesickness, you will hear from me, if not, expect that your child is going through normal adjustment to camp life and all is good!
