Top 5 Moments of Seneca Day:
5. Bonding on the Bus
The best way to get to know your fellow Senecans is on a bus. The girls blast their cheers and belt their favorite songs, bringing the youngest, middle, and oldest girls together as one.
4. When we were Pizza Hut employees.
Ok, it is one thing to get non-camp pizza (not that camp pizza isn't great), but it is a whole other story when we actually get to make it ourselves! Every camper took a turn stepping inside Pizza Hut's very own catering truck and poured sauce, sprinkles cheese, and place whichever toppings they please into their pizza. Delicioso!
3. Snapping Pictures in Skaneateles
I think the best way to explore a town is by going on a photo scavenger hunt! We were forced to go inside the obscure shops and the fancy chocolate stores, taking hilarious and creative photos. For example, my group took a fabulous selfie with Raggedy Ann for "a picture with a redhead".
2. Showing our Competitive Side Laser Tagging
If you have never been laser tagging before, it is a must. There is something about that dark arena that lights a competitive spark in each of our eyes. We were broken up into our teams and we had to find a good spot, a place where you could easily spot someone to shoot, and a place where you could be discreet. There is surprisingly a ton of skill that goes into laser tag and I loved seeing the campers focus on those skills with a smile on their face.
1. Getting our Groove On
One if our final stops was to a professional hip hop class! One if the main focuses of Seneca is to have no fears. So watching the Senecan's fears disappear as they danced this intricate routine was spectacular. Of course most, I included, did not know every single step, but it was masked by the extreme amount of personality that came through the dance. For sure, the best part of an amazing Seneca Day
