This Friday and Saturday was Seneca and Onondaga Shabbat! The girls prepared for services the entire week in various ways, including speech writing, song choosing, decorating, and more. Finally Shabbat came and Friday night services could not have been better. The quote of the weekend was "every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end." The Senecans who spoke had many insightful thoughts about these words, and they shared their own experiences confidently with the entire camp.
Saturday morning services were equally beautiful in the Goldenview. The rest of the day was a day of welcome relaxation, with great discussion groups and a Shabbat choice period. We then ate dinner in cookout style in the middle of Seneca. Soon we will have Havdallah in order to close out the wonderful Shabbat and welcome in the week. I could not be prouder of these girls!
