Stories With Seneca

I can't believe we are already almost a week into the August session at CSL. In some ways, it seems impossible that we've only been here for about a week, but in other ways it's astounding how fast time is flying. I know I've said it before, but there really is something about camp that makes the days feel like weeks, but the weeks feel like days. Time is a funny thing. It's such a constant, yet it's so precious. Especially at camp; you blink and suddenly the day is gone, the week is gone, the session is gone. That's why living in the moment during the summer is so crucial.

The girls this session have been doing just that. At any given moment on any given day, Senecans can be seen laughing, playing, and engaging in whatever activity is thrown their way. It's so special to see them so close already, and even more special to watch them help lead camp and grow both physically as well as emotionally.

The week has been chalked full of activities, ranging from waterfront, to ropes, to athletics, and everything in between. Today, we rest. Shabbat is the one time of the week we get to take a step back and reflect on our week, as we look forward to what lies ahead. I'm so excited for the rest of the session, and I can't wait to report back with more wonderful details from the August session!!

Lots of Seneca love,
