Pine Tree Post

Hey CSL people!

As we near the end of the first week, the August session has really hit it's grind, and the village of Cayuga is as hot as it can be.

Yesterday was the first day of the reinstallation of the Cayuga Football League. The games were played while I was at the ropes course running a low ropes period, so while I was not able to participate or watch for very long I was able to glance over the field right next to the ropes course where the games were being played.

From where I was I was not able to get the best sense of the games, but I was able to see a good deal of diving catches and plays that I did not expect cayugans to be able to make.

The Cayuga village sport has been exclusively hockey recently and although I was very skeptical of the move to make cfl the august league and leave hockey for July I think the first day went very well. I think where there is a large disparity in hockey playing experience there is less disparity in experience with two hand touch football which makes it more fun for the campers. I am looking forward to seeing the development in skills especially when it comes to the technical aspects of the game such as being in the correct position while marking a player on defense and catching the ball with their hands and not their bodies. Overall I think it was a very good move to make CFL the august sport.
