C-4 spent our afternoon at the Waterfront today!! While down there we got to tour Seneca Lake on the Party Boat, and then sail with the help of a few nice big gusts of wind. The Party Boat ride included a celebrity house tour where we saw Lady Gaga's beautiful abode, which sits atop a bluff to the north of CSL, and Katy Perry's lakeside estate, which features an impressive fleet of boats.
During the tour we all had the chance to jump off the boat and bathe in the lake with the all-purpose Dr. Bronner's soap. This soap is one of the most popular items down at the Front and so we all got back to shore smelling like fresh peppermint ready for a sailing lesson.
We learned the basic aspects of sailing: how to adjust the sail to catch the most wind, how to steer, where to sit, what to call different parts, and how to rig the boats. After basking in the sun and catching some nice speed we headed back in and soon enough it was time for General Swim. Here's what some campers had to say about their time at the waterfront:
